Nashville, TN – November 1, 2024 — Celebrated country artist Eddie Montgomery, of the award-winning duo Montgomery Gentry, has released his highly anticipated new EP, Home Run, via Average Joes Entertainment. The six-track project showcases Eddie’s signature storytelling, blending heart and grit in songs that celebrate the timeless spirit of country music.
Home Run includes fan favorites and special collaborations that bring together family, friends, and Eddie’s deep connection to country roots. The EP features previously released singles, including “Cost of Being Me,” a raw, unapologetic anthem featuring rising star Bryan Martin; “Hillbilly Shoes (25th Anniversary Edition),” an homage to the iconic Montgomery Gentry hit that helped define a generation of country music; and “My Son (Acoustic),” a poignant track featured in the soundtrack for the film Old Henry.
Adding to the excitement, Home Run introduces the brand-new track “Brotherly Love,” a heartfelt collaboration with Eddie’s younger brother and fellow country star, John Michael Montgomery. This powerful duet reflects the Montgomery brothers’ shared journey in country music and honors their unbreakable bond.
“I was like, we need to cut something for our mom, ‘cause we lost our dad 30 years ago actually this year,” Eddie Montgomery shares. “We wanted to do something together because everyone is always asking ‘How come you guys have never done a song together?’ We’ve always had each other’s backs and we still do.”
